Miles2Smile organized Sunrise Public School’s Annual Day function on Saturday, March 04, 2023 . The event was marked with an array of cultural and educational programs, showcasing the diverse talents of the students.
The Annual Day Program began with the beautiful Qirat recitation by a girl student, followed by a welcome address from the Principal of Sunrise Public School, Mr. Danish Khan, who extended his warm welcome to all the dignitaries gracing the occasion, as well as the respected Guest of Honor Mr. Umar Majeed, research Scholar & COO of the Hunar Academy.
Receiving the honor, Mr. Umar congratulated the school and Miles2Smile foundation for its efforts in providing quality education to the violence victims’ children and the children of underprivileged families.
One of the memorable moments of the function was marked by the precious words of advice & appreciation by the Guest of Honor Mr. Umar, during his address to the parents.
The event also comprised prize distribution to all the meritorious students for their academic excellence and their achievements in extracurricular areas, as well as a token of Appreciation was awarded to all the hard working teachers. The awards were presented to the students and respected teachers by the Guest of Honor Mr. Umar, who motivated students & teachers to work harder and strive for excellence.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Aasif Mujtaba, Founder & Director of Miles2Smile foundation said, “We are extremely proud of the achievements of our students and the efforts of the school teachers in nurturing their talents.
We are committed to continuing our efforts in providing education to the children of victims of communal violence and the other underprivileged children and ensuring that they have a better tomorrow.”

The event was attended by the parents, teachers, and staff of the school, as well as team members of the organization. It was a day of celebration and joy, marking the culmination of the academic year and the beginning of a new journey towards excellence.
Marking the occasion, children enthusiastically participated in various competitions and stage performances.
The program involved mostly performances enriched with artistic expressions, scripted plays, fancy dresses, singing, dancing, and mime. The celebration proved to be a platform for these students to come together to show their inherent talents. The venue reverberated with thunderous applause; gleaming faces exchanged appreciative nods as the audience witnessed the extravaganza of the event.
Keeping great hopes and happiness, the programme culminated with the National Anthem, and a vote of thanks that was proposed by the two senior teaching staff Ms Gulnaaz & Mr. Ishlamuddin.
Miles2Smile has been working tirelessly towards providing education and skill building opportunities to underprivileged children. The annual day function was a testimony to the organization’s efforts and its commitment towards ensuring a brighter future for the economically disadvantaged children.
