In its continued pursuit of empowering marginalized communities through education, Miles2Smile Foundation proudly inaugurated the Begum Sultana Jahan Learning Centre in the serene valley of Margi, Warwan. The initiative aims to bring learning opportunities, vocational guidance, and social awareness to children and women in one of the most remote and underserved regions of Jammu and Kashmir.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by 450–500 community members, including local elders, students, women, and youth. The air was filled with joy and gratitude as the people of Warwan gathered to witness the beginning of a new chapter in their collective growth and empowerment. The event also featured arrangements for food and refreshments, fostering a sense of community and celebration.

The programme began with a beautiful Tilawat-e-Qur’an by Faisal Ahmed, setting a spiritual tone for the morning, followed by heartfelt Naat Shareef recitations by Muzzakir Ahmed and Nadiya Jaan, whose soulful voices captivated the audience and added a sense of reverence and unity to the occasion.

The event was graced by distinguished guests — Mukti Sehnawaz, who served as the Chief Guest, and Mukti Mohammad Ameen, the Guest of Honour. Both shared inspiring words emphasizing the transformative power of education and the critical role of community collaboration in rebuilding and strengthening societies.

The event was hosted by Naima Akhtar, whose eloquence and warmth guided the ceremony with grace, ensuring that every moment was engaging and meaningful.
A special address was delivered by Mr. Aasif Mujtaba, Director of Miles2Smile Foundation, who spoke about the organization’s journey, its mission of restoring hope where despair prevails, and the importance of investing in education as a means of long-term empowerment. He highlighted how the Begum Sultana Jahan Learning Centre represents more than infrastructure — it symbolizes opportunity, self-reliance, and dignity.
“Education is the foundation of liberation,” said Mr. Mujtaba. “Through this centre, we hope to open doors of knowledge and confidence for the children and women of Warwan — to give them a chance to dream, to learn, and to lead.”

During the event, six individuals were honoured with appreciation certificates for their valuable contributions toward community upliftment and support for the Miles2Smile mission. Additionally, women’s hygiene kits were distributed among local women as part of the foundation’s ongoing commitment to promoting health and awareness in marginalized communities.

The Begum Sultana Jahan Learning Centre is lovingly dedicated to the memory and legacy of Begum Fatima Jahan, whose compassion, resilience, and dedication to education continue to inspire the foundation’s work. The centre will serve as a safe and inclusive space for learning, skill-building, and personal growth — particularly for girls and women who have historically been denied access to such opportunities.

The inauguration concluded with heartfelt prayers for success and longevity of the project, as smiles and laughter filled the air — a reflection of renewed hope that education brings.

With this launch, Miles2Smile Foundation reaffirms its mission to transform lives through education, dignity, and compassion — continuing to rebuild hope, one smile at a time.
