Pink flourished with different shades around the ground of the Fatima Sheikh Learning Center as the stage for the graduation ceremony was decked up. Held on Saturday, the ceremony honored the Quran completion of five students, who with love and dedication have read the holy book under the guidance of teachers at Fatima Sheikh learning center.
The Fatima Sheikh Learning Center, established by the Miles2Smile Foundation serves as a lifeline of hope, dignity, and opportunity for refugee children displaced from their homes and deprived of stable schooling. Created as a dedicated refugee learning space, the centre provides structured, compassionate, and high-quality education to children who have faced severe disruption. It aims not only to bridge learning gaps but also to rebuild confidence, restore normalcy, and empower young minds to imagine a brighter future.

These children, once stripped of their education, now find their ways towards success at Fatima Sheikh Learning Center.
The event started with a soothing note, with recitation of the holy book Quran. After a while, the five children—Mohd Umar, Mohd Touqeer, Mohd Ahmad, Mohd Ubaidullah, and Abu Bakr—were facilitated with the title of Hafiz for memorizing the Quran by heart.
One by one, the students were called onto the stage with respect and warmth, carrying in their hearts a promise to walk the path of honesty. A round of applause made its way to the ground with a sense of satisfaction wrapped with dedication and love.

Following this, the teachers emphasized that Hifz is not merely an academic accomplishment but a lifelong moral responsibility, one that calls upon students to embody the Qur’an’s teachings in character, conduct, and compassion. Parents expressed gratitude to the teachers for their guidance, care, and efforts in building both knowledge and values. Ceremonies like these not only snowball the spiritual arena but also motivate the students to walk towards the path of deen and devotion.
“I am grateful that the center has given guidance to my child, made him learn the Quran so patiently and with dedication. It’s a dream come true,” a parent said.
“My child is above the cloud after having completed the house; my family is beyond happy,” another parent commented.

“The completion of Hifz is a blessing not only for the students but also for their families and the entire community. These children carry the Qur’an in their hearts, and with it, the responsibility to walk the path of honesty, humility, and righteousness,” a teacher added.
“Seeing our children excel in their studies and complete Hifz fills my heart with immense happiness and pride. Their dedication, hard work, and discipline are truly inspiring,” said Aasif Mujtaba, Founder and Director, Miles2Smile.
